RWC –Flags Flying High
Can you imagine being part of history? The All Blacks can because they want to win it! Sitting in between 59, 999 people is a lot! We will beat Tonga!
Twenty different countries flags have risen everywhere in New Zealand. Everyone is going mad about the RWC. Everyone is excited and wants to go to each game live!
My favourite team in the Rugby World Cup Is The All Blacks or Wallabies. My favourite All Black is Sonny Bill Williams, who is supposed to be called Sonny William Williams. My favourite Wallaby is Quade Cooper, the Australian kicker.
Tonight there will be the opening ceremony at Eden Park with Dave Dobbyn, Black Eyed Peas and others for the fanzone.
See you there folks!

RWC
The Rugby World Cup has started! After months of waiting the biggest sporting event has begun.
This is the 2nd RWC in New Zealand since 1987. Now everyone is going rugby crazy!
There are black flags everywhere, fireworks going off and everyone’s dressed in black. Tonight the kick-off is starting. There will be singing, fireworks, and of course lots and lots of rugby!
Visitors from around the globe are swarming over to New Zealand to watch the big game! The stadium is massive. About 57 times bigger than a 3-storey house with a giant backyard!
But who cares about these facts, because I’m going to grab a rugby ball, paint my face black and watch Richie McCaw score the winning try!
GO THE ALL BLACKS!

RWC 2011
The waiting will be over today! It’s the day that the Rugby World Cup arrives to Eden Park.
The Rugby World Cup game is going to be wild because it’s part of the history of life. There will be almost 1,000,000 people watching the Rugby World Cup.
I am thinking how will the RWC start? Like maybe some fireworks coming out, or maybe songs coming out of the speakers; like 'World in Union' or 'Right Here Right Now' or even the Flower of Scotland!
The people that I see are all dressed in black shirts or black faces. The first game will be held at Eden Park at 8.30pm.

The RWC Starts
Today is history repeating itself because today is the start of the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. The whole country is supporting its one team, the All Blacks, yeah!
At school everyone is dressed in black to support the All Blacks. Mr Mac and the boys did a flash mob Haka in front of the staffroom.
The Rugby World Cup started in 1987. It’s now 2011, so that’s 24 years of rugby, but really the RWC only happens every four years.

Rugby World Cup 2011
The Haka has begun around the country. It’s here, right now, the waiting is all over!
Everywhere I look is black. Fireworks are going off.
Dressed in black ready for the start. Dan Carter kicks….it’s a goal! The crowd goes wild.
At my school, Friday the 9th September the Rugby World Cup start has meant we all dressed in black –Black out day!
